Aggreko launches three Tier 4 Final diesel generators for remote Canadian sites

The 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW units are sold exclusively to Canadian contractors and are CSA and UN31A compliant, with the largest model offering onboard 600V output.

Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built for remote Canadian work sites, offering 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The units are available exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said.

Configured for Canadian regulations

All three models are CSA and UN31A compliant, which Aggreko says meets the electrical and fuel regulations that apply in Canada. According to the company, the generators combine its latest technologies with hardware tailored to Canadian operating requirements, providing reliable, low-emissions power for a range of commercial and industrial applications.

Onboard 600V output on the 1200 kW unit

The 1200 kW model offers onboard 600V capabilities, removing the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says this direct 600V output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and limits potential points of failure, giving customers an advantage on large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.

Quick-deploy canopy units and a large-load model

The 145 kW and 210 kW generators are canopy units that can be deployed quickly for immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The new models expand Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which spans 25 kW to 1200 kW.

Company points to mining, petrochemical and data centres

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, as well as thriving construction and data centre sectors, as signs of demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.

Temporary power across sectors

Through its network of Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications. The company says all three generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements.

Aggreko also points to Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators pull from the grid. The Tier 4 Final generators can supply off-grid energy to keep data centres operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities, according to the company.
