Mace Construct to become Forco in new year rebrand

Contractor says the new name is short, impactful and easy to pronounce as it sets 2030 productivity goals.

Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco at the start of the new year, the UK contractor has announced. The business will continue to trade as Mace Construct until then, when it will begin operating under the new name alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through to 2030.

The change follows the March separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two independent businesses. Under the agreement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand. The company said the Forco name was short, impactful and easy to pronounce.

Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said Mace Construct had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds added that the qualities that had made the business one of the UK’s most respected contractors would remain: its culture, values and people. He said clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last.

The rebrand applies to the contracting business. Mace Consult will continue to operate under the Mace name, while the contracting arm moves to Forco after the current trading period.
